The Reports section lets you break sales down by date range, product, customer, or employee, and see stock and dues reports in detail. Reports can be exported or printed.

Understanding the fields

  • Date range — the reporting window; every report is scoped to this first, so changing it re-runs every filter below against the new window.
  • Product / category filter — narrows a sales or stock report down to a specific item or category, layered on top of the date range.
  • Customer / employee filter — narrows a report to one customer’s purchase history or one employee’s sales, useful for checking dues or performance individually rather than store-wide.
  • Export format (PDF/Excel) — PDF is best for printing or sharing a read-only copy; Excel is best when you want to re-filter or calculate further outside BillBasket.

Try it: Sharma Kirana Store

1

Pull a week's sales report

Every Sunday, Rajesh Sharma opens the Reports section and filters sales for the past week to see how Sharma Kirana Store performed.
2

Break it down by product

He filters the same report by product and notices Tata Salt sold much faster than usual this week.
3

Check the stock report

Switching to the stock report, Rajesh confirms Tata Salt is now running low, well below his usual reorder point.
4

Export and place a reorder

He exports the report to Excel to double-check the numbers, then places a fresh order with Bansal Wholesale Traders before he runs out.
