Understanding the fields
- Quantity — how many units of that line are being sold. For a serial-tracked product, quantity is driven by how many serials you pick rather than typed directly — see Tracking serial numbers.
- Unit price — defaults to the product/service’s set price, but can be overridden per line for a one-off sale price.
- Unit of measure — shown next to quantity so it’s clear whether you’re billing by piece, kg, box, etc. — see Units of measure.
- Per-line discount — a flat or percentage reduction applied to just this line, separate from any bill-level discount. See Applying discounts & tax for how line and bill discounts combine.
If an item is low or out of stock, BillBasket flags it on the line so
you know before you finish the sale.
