Where your data lives

All your billing, stock, and customer data is stored encrypted, on your own device. Nothing needs to be uploaded anywhere for BillBasket to work.

What still needs internet

A small number of things use the internet when it’s available, but never block your daily billing if it isn’t:
  • Activating or checking your license
  • Optional cloud backup and sync between your devices (if enabled for your plan)
  • On-device AI features that call out to cloud AI (only when you explicitly use them)

What this means day to day

  • You can keep billing during a power cut on a charged laptop/phone, or when your internet is down.
  • Your data isn’t lost if you lose signal or your connection is slow.
  • Regular local backups are still important — see Backing up your data — since offline-first protects you from no internet, not from a lost or damaged device.
