BillBasket licenses are tied to your BillBasket account, not to a single device. Sign in with your account on any new device, and BillBasket checks your plan and activates automatically — no separate license key to type in, as long as your plan has a free slot.

Understanding the fields

These fields all live in Settings → License & Account, reached from the gear icon:
  • Sign in / Pair this device — the button shown when a device isn’t yet licensed. Starts the sign-in flow that links this device to your BillBasket account.
  • Licensed to — once signed in, shows your account’s business name, owner name, mobile number, and email — read-only, coming from your account rather than this device.
  • Package — your current plan name.
  • Trial Stores / Pro Stores — your plan’s usage as “X of Y” for each tier. A new store usually starts as a trial; Activate this store converts it to a Pro store using a free Pro slot, if one exists — all data is preserved either way. If both your Trial and Pro slots are full, activating a new device or store isn’t possible until a slot is freed (see Devices & login) or your plan is upgraded.
  • License status / Valid until / days left — the offline entitlement lease’s state and expiry. BillBasket renews this automatically in the background every 6 hours while online, so the app keeps working for a window of time even without internet — the days-left counter only matters if you go a long stretch offline.
  • Upgrade / Manage plan — opens your BillBasket account online to change plans or add slots.
There’s no separate “enter a license key” field in the current app — the entire flow is account sign-in based. If your plan is at its device limit, BillBasket tells you to free up a slot first rather than letting you enter a code to bypass it.

Try it: Sharma Kirana Store

1

Install BillBasket on the new device

Rajesh Sharma has just bought a second counter PC for Sharma Kirana Store. He installs BillBasket and, on first launch, is asked to sign in or activate a license.
2

Sign in with the store's BillBasket account

He signs in with the same BillBasket account email he used on his original device. BillBasket checks his plan and confirms he still has a free device slot available.
3

Let the license activate automatically

The new PC activates against Rajesh’s plan and unlocks the full app — no separate license key entry needed since he’s signed into the same account.
4

Free up a slot if the device count is full

A few months later, Rajesh tries to activate a third device but his plan only allows two. BillBasket tells him to free up a slot first — see Devices & login to sign an old device out.
