# Stock & inventory basics

> Understand how BillBasket tracks stock as you sell, purchase, return, and adjust inventory — including low-stock alerts and per-product ledgers.

Stock updates automatically when you bill a sale, record a purchase, or
process a return. You can also make manual stock adjustments and see
low-stock warnings from the Inventory section.
