# Adding products/services to a bill

> Add products and services to a BillBasket invoice by searching your catalog, browsing categories, or scanning a barcode from the camera or a scanner.

While billing, you can add items to the invoice in three ways:

* **Search** by product/service name, SKU, or category.
* **Scan a barcode** using your phone camera, a connected desktop webcam, or
  a hardware barcode scanner — see [Barcode
  scanning](/customer-guide/products-and-services/barcode-scanning).
* **Browse** your product/service list grouped by category.

Each line item shows quantity, unit price, unit of measure, and any per-item
discount. Tap a line to edit its quantity, price, or discount, or to remove
it from the bill.

  If an item is low or out of stock, BillBasket flags it on the line so you
  know before you finish the sale.
